Anthony is an ABVM graduate of the class of 2016, he graduated Don Bosco Tech in 2020 with honors, and then graduated from Grand Canyon University in April, with honors and on the Dean’s List. Anthony enlisted in the Army in January 2021, days after his grandmother’s passing.Anthony is the son of Jim and Lucy (Santillan) Smith, (ABVM Class of 1975), and big brother to Ainslee, ABVM Class of 2018. His family has been part of ABVM since 1965, including his grandparents, Jesse and Bernice Santillan, and uncles, Jesse & Phillip. Anthony is also the grandson of Frank and Mary Ann Smith, (deceased) and nephew of Cindy, Dee, Russ and Kim.
His deployment orders are to report on August 11, and he will be sent to Fort Bliss TX, and then to Fort Sill, OK. He is attached to an artillery unit. In November, he will be sent to Kuwait. Please pray for Anthony’s safety, and for his family.
