VISIT TO THE PREGNANCY HELP CENTER OF SAN GABRIEL VALLEY —

Last Sunday, we traveled to the Pregnancy Help Center at 5626 Rosemead Boulevard, Temple City. We were greeted by Ann Sheedy, one of the Board Members, who is a parishioner. This center is an option to any pregnant woman who is considering abortion. The main focal point for us was the ultrasound device. The purpose of the device is to show a pregnant woman, visibly, that she is carrying a “beating hearted baby.”
Since May 2010, the Center has experienced eight turnarounds. A turnaround is a pregnant woman seriously considering abortion, however, after support and consultation she decides to carry the “beating hearted baby” to full term. You could feel the jubilation that brings to the staff the day they experience a turnaround!
Our message is twofold: Consider a trip to the Center to see what they do there. Secondly, please pray for the success of the Center and for more turnarounds in the days ahead.
